Hot Spiked Apple Cider Recipe

tailgating recipes - alcohol

Looking to warm up on a cold Saturday in State College?  We promise that our hot cider will do the trick!  The main ingredient is a fall day with temperatures below 55 degrees.

Ingredients:

1 gallon fresh apple cider (local or homemade is the best!)

1-2 sliced Granny Smith apples

Dash of apple pie spice

1 bottle Southern Comfort

1 can extra creamy whipped cream

Styrofoam cups

Autumn day with temperatures below 55 degrees

Directions:

Pour cider into a pot and place on medium heat.  Slice apples in small pieces and cook in the cider.  Add apple pie spice to taste.  Cook cider until it reaches coffee-like temperature.  Serve hot in styrofoam cup and add Southern Comfort to tolerance!

Top off each cup with extra creamy whipped cream.

Feel the warmth.
